More WW2
Finished a couple more WW2 projects. First up is a 15mm FOW US airborne platoon. The figures were left over from another project and sat in the lead pile, so they needed to be painted and moved on.
Also finished up some WW2 British from Black Tree Designs. Not always 100% sure of some of their sculpts but this are great to paint up.

WW2 Germans
Another side project i have been working on when i have a bit of time and feel like a change is some opponents for my 82nd Airborne, some Late War German SS. Figures are from Warlord Games. Not sure if my camo is 100% accurate but i am happy with the result.

Armoured Support
Finished of some Armoured Support options for my Bolt Action 82nd Airborne.
The M20 Scout Car is a mash up of a 1/56 Warlord M8 Greyhound and the Tamiya 1/48 M20 Kit. Not the cheapest way to go about it but i couldn't decide whether to use 1/48 or 1/56 scale vehicles with 28mm models. Read loads on the net and in the end I thought I just have to get 2 similar models and see for myself. In the end I felt the 1/48 was to tall so i,m in the 1/56 camp. Some of the bits from the Tamiya kit are fitted straight onto the Warlord model, others needed chopping down.
The Hellcat is from Warlord Games with some of the transfers coming from the Tamiya kit.
The Sherman is from Rubicon Models with the crew from Warlord.
Also managed to add some fire support with a 75mm Howitzer from Artizan Designs.
As a bit of a change of pace I have completed my first German to go up against them. It will be a while before I have a full force as they are a bit of a side project, but you can never have too much lead in the pile.

More WW2
Just finished another squad of WW2 British. Figures by Black Tree Designs.
Something a bit different next. I have painted some model planes as a Christmas Present for a friend. They are a 1/72 Spitfire and Me109 by Airfix. A bit of a blast from the past for me as i haven't built a plane kit since childhood. Even today i managed to get glue every where so god knows how i managed as a kid. Mounted them on a wooden display base to show them off.

82nd Airborne
I have been busy in my spare time painting up the beginnings of a small force for Bolt Action. Have chosen to paint up Offensive Miniatures US Paratroopers as the 82nd Airborne. The patches are waterslide transfers from Warlord Games.
They have not seen any action on the tabletop yet, will keep you posted. I have enjoyed the first couple of games of Bolt Action i have played. I am not to interested in tournament play but look for a fun system to share a couple of hours gaming with, like the activation dice for initiative as it adds an element of tension into the game.
Here are the first two squads with commander

Flames of War US Parachute Rifle Company
Carrying on with the recent change of scale, i have just finished a US Parachute Rifle Company for Flames of War. I am happy with the results. I think you have to remember with 15mm that you are going to be looking at them on mass and at a distance.

WWII Japanese Infantry
As something of a break from painting ancients i have just finished a WWII Japanese Infantry Squad from Warlord Games. The last WWII figures i painted where old airfix back when i was a kid, so they are a bit of a departure for me. I enjoyed painting them up and plan to do some more.
