Gordon Highlanders

Been busy painting up some Gordon Highlanders for Waterloo. In the end i think they are worth the effort, and am happy with the impression they give. Some minis paint up easy and some feel more like work, these were pretty stressful to paint up and defiantly on the work end of the spectrum.

Hun vs Late Roman battle report

Managed to get in another game against my brother, Hun vs Patrician Romans. Game ultimately played out to a draw which is a bit disappointing. Half way through the game i though i was heading for a historic victory but the dice gods deserted me.  Managed to roll several rounds of point blank shooting without a single hit.

My brother used a flank march with one of his commands which was a bit sneaky. Managed to deal with it with my Franks, a couple of large unit FP make excellent road blocks.

Game finished with his CP cataphracts riding to glory and destroying several of my units with a multiple move.

Arthur and Mordred

I have had this fantastic figure from Salute for a while and been wanting to paint it up, somehow other figures kept getting in front of it on the work bench.

Finally got round to painting it, really enjoyed the process. Tried to give Arthur a more aged appearance with grey hair and Mordred a more Pagan feel with the cloak and shield design.
